March Madness Blogging Challenge - Day 2 - Where I come from, there's one stop light!

Today's Topic is Where I come from, your town.

Well where I come from, if you blink you will miss it. I live in Lillian, AL it isn't even considered a town, its considered a community. Lillian is very small. We have one stop light, two gas stations one at the beginning of town and one at the end, a Dollar General, a Movie store, and a couple local owned places to eat. Lillian isn't known for much expect the fireworks stand. Lillian is right on the state line of FL, separated by beautiful Perdido Bay.

I grew up in Pensacola, FL which is across the bay and my dad and grandparents lived here in Lillian which is now where I live and raise my family. {Did ya get all that?}

There isn't much to this town. It is Country, and I like it this way. It's quite small town living.

My favorite part about where I live is that we live on the water. I love being able to go take a stroll on the beach with out ever having to leave our home. Our neighbors are friends and we all still wave. It to me is the perfect place to live. The country and the beach. I couldn't ask for more.

The worst thing about living here- it really isn't that big of a deal anymore... it doesn't even really seem that long. Everywhere is 25-30 min away. Nearest Walmart - 25 min away, Nearest Mcdonalds - 30 mins. We do have a Hardees {Nearest Fast Food Option} - 15 min away. ( We hardly ever eat out unless we are out and about. I cook pretty much every night) It is a good thing that fast food is further away. It makes it not an option. We all eat healthier and together more often when there is a home cooked meal involved.
