Dining Options- Living in a small town, sandwiched in between two tourist towns gives us several amazing places to eat. Here are some of not only the tourists favorite places but also the locals!
Start your day out here at Tacky Jacks for Breakfast and Bloody Mary's {if you need to start your day out that way of course} This is also a great place to start and dock the boat, enjoy your breakfast, and then head out for that fishing trip or just a day of fun in the sun!
When ya start hearing that rumbling in your tummy and your ready from for some lunch, head right up the inter coastal to LuLu's for some lunch, live music, maybe you just might want to try the ropes course. This restaurant is owned by Lucy Buffet if your not familiar with here you should be because her food - AMAZING - but her brother is also Jimmy Buffet! Take some time to visit this wonderful place and beautiful atmosphere! Even check out the bathrooms, they have some beautiful art painted, your kids are sure to love it too.
After you finish your day on the water and get your self freshened up, plan to go to dinner at Lamberts - Home of the throwed rolls- & yes they do throw the rolls to you {well maybe at you, lol. I'm still not sure on that} But you are sure to have not only have some of the best cooking around and probably have some left for the next day {has large portions}, you are going to also have a good time with great staff!
Shopping Options:
Since this is a tourist town there are so many wonderful places to shop, from local beach shops and boutiques, antiques, to the mall {its the outlet}. If you are looking for some place you can go and enjoy a great restaurant and shopping I recommend The Wharf, it has some great shops, eats, and places for the kids; if your lucky you can also catch a concert.
Shop all the stores that line The Wharf, you can also stay at their beautiful hotel, catch a movie at the theater, or ride the Farris wheel! You can make a day of it. If you are in the area and have you boat, you can also access the wharf by boat and enjoy the day here or just stop by for some food and to do a little shopping.
If your looking for a girls day of shopping while the guys are out golfing, I would head in to town to Foley, AL here you will find the Tanger Outlets.
There are plenty of stores for you to enjoy and find anything and everything you would like, there is a food court here for you to catch lunch also or enjoy a coffee from Starbucks.
If you prefer a different kind of shopping there are several boutiques, specialty shops, antique stores, etc. in the area and all have such beautiful pieces! The Foley, Orange Beach, and Gulf Shores area are definitely the place for great shopping!
Have fun!
If your going to be in the area and have any specific questions I'll be glad to try and answer them for you and if I can't answer them I can definitely get you to the right people who can.
