Today was orginally for something else but when I saw this I new I would be making this as part of our Halloween Dinner & i had to share with y'all. This cake is very simple but also very decorative for the Halloween Holiday. You could even whip this together real quick before you head out for your Halloween Party tomorrow night or Saturday.

{13 Nights of Halloween} Jack Skellington Cake
Today was orginally for something else but when I saw this I new I would be making this as part of our Halloween Dinner & i had to share with y'all. This cake is very simple but also very decorative for the Halloween Holiday. You could even whip this together real quick before you head out for your Halloween Party tomorrow night or Saturday.
{The Scott Life} A Little Bit of Us Shared with Ya'll!
Making : A LOT, cause it's the end of the month. The calendar for the websites, graphics for the events, newsletters that need to go out Monday, Another video because the one I couldnt get uploaded, is now just frozen there so it will be deleted and I need to add some other things to the video anyways.. hmmm & I'm making plans to rearrange out playroom/schoolroom.
Cooking : Nothing currently but I need to figure out what I am making for dinner.
Drinking : Water - Trying to drink more!
Reading: My to do list because I have a lot to do. I want to get a new book though and read. I actually think I am going to reread Coming from a place of Yes for the end of the year book and get a new book as one of my stocking stuffers!
Wanting: I'm wanting to just do some organizing all day in my house. When I want to do it, I really don't have time for it, and when I have the time for it, it is the last thing I want to do.
Looking: Just started looking at all the stuff I need to buy and do for Thanksgiving and Christmas and get busy doing. It will be here before I know it.
Playing: Nothing currently.
Wasting:...... Nothing
Wishing: There was more time in each day and of of course a unlimited supply of energy.
Enjoying: Family Time, it's been really really nice lately.
Waiting: For some things to change, but they will just have to keep working on them and praying about it.
Liking: That the holidays are coming, I'm actually loving this! lol.
Wondering: If everything will ever get done and all be caught up and I can just work in the here and now.
Loving: I think I answered that ^^ I'm loving that the holidays are coming, we are going Trick-or-Treating tommorrow and then it's on to planning Thanksgiving.
Hoping: That the holidays go great with no stress anywhere, even in my bank account.
Needing: Nothing, I don't need anything in particular.
Smelling: The pumpkin spice candles that are lit. I have to light them every morning.
Wearing: Sweatpants & a Hoodie, it is cold here in South AL and only suppose to get colder.
Following: Nothing in particular, I don't tend to particularly "following" anything.
Noticing: That there are more and more Halloween Stuff to do each year especially with Halloween being on the weekend. I'm glad we've decided to have a spooky Halloween Dinner and go Trick-or-Treating then maybe a spooky movie.
Knowing: It's going to be a great day, because I am going to make it a great day.
Thinking: That I'm glad this is almost over because I need to get something filled out real quick.
Feeling: Pretty Good for it to be going from hot to cold hot to cold *knocking on wood, I continue feelign that way.
Bookmarking: A few blogging sites, working on a twitter party for ALWB for November
Opening: I'm fixing to start shopping for Christmas!
Giggling: I'm glad we're more prepared each year for Christmas. ahhh, we're growing up. hee-hee

{13 Nights of Halloween} Halloween Spaghetti
There are so many ways now a days to be creative in all that you do. There are even little things I find on Pinterest and I think, how did I not know about this? How did my mom not know about this and do these things with me as a kid. I must say this is one of those awesome things that would have probably enticed me to eat spaghetti instead of just buttered noodles when I was younger. This may be great to get your littles to at least try Spaghetti. Last year I shared our Colored Noodles for our Birthday Spaghetti that we made for my daughters sleepover, the spaghetti was a hit! So I thought you could do the same thing for Halloween!

{13 Nights of Halloween Fun} Pumpkin Deviled Eggs
Sweet Treats are usually what everyone brings to a holiday party of any kind. Desserts are much simpler to make and some are even hard to mess up, especially with everything being in a box and easily made. If you're looking for something that is not a Halloween Treat but something you would like to take to a party try these Pumpkin Deviled Eggs, with no Pumpkin in them.

{13 Nights of Halloween Fun} Spider Lollipops
What kid would not LOVE to find this spooky treat in their treat bag on Halloween?
These Spider Lollipops are too cute and very simple to make. My daughter and I also did our own craft for craftilyeverafter.com that was spider pencils. The same concept just on a pencil. These would be very simple to make too. Take a look at this special Halloween Trick & Treat.

{13 Nights of Halloween Fun} Halloween Cupcakes
Cupcakes are one of my favorite desserts to make. I prefer making them over cakes, pies, etc. I especially love them even more because I learned how to ice them. Yes, that's right, how to ice them like i just ordered them from the cake bakery, and you wouldn't believe how easy it is. Take the time, to take a class, you can even order a kit from My Cake Decorating that would be perfect to help you learn how and you get plenty tools to help you, or you can watch some decorating videos on YouTube. Isn't technology grand? These cupcakes are at the top of my list for Halloween baking and cupcake decorating! These cupcakes are listed from what I think is the easiest to the hardest to ice, starting with the easiest.

{13 Nights of Halloween Fun} Paper Plate Candy Corn Banner
This banner is cute for any Fall Occasion, you can even leave it up all the way through Thanksgiving. This is even an easy craft that the littles can do on their own, with the help of an adult if they don't usually use scissors. We will be adding this to our Thanksgiving Decor this year. I think it will make a lovely addition to our dining room.

{13 Nights of Halloween Fun} Hot Dog Mummies
This is what we are going to be having for Halloween Supper! I know the kids will loves this cause they love anything with a theme. When I saw these I ofcourse thought DUH! Pigs in a Blanket made into Mummies! GENIUS! There are plenty of posts on pintereset of Hot Dog Mummies, but these were the best that I found and a few of them have no links back. I really hate that because I like to give credit where credit is due. These are very self explanatory though.

{13 Nights of Halloween Fun} Crayon Pumpkins
One of my favorite things about the Holiday season is all the special activities that you only get to do once a year, I mean you could do them other times but it would kind of be silly. Any who, I love to carve pumpkins and my children are still little and like digging in and getting all gooey, but this year I really wanted to do a Crayon Pumpkins in several different color patterns, we decided to do something else with family but there is always next year, and who knows, I may still get a pumpkin and do one before Halloween, but these should be shared

Just a warning, after reading this you are going to want to make some type of Chex mix. These are some of the Halloween favorites I have saved on my Pinterest board and plan to make for my daughters upcoming Halloween Party at school. I'm not making all of these for the class but they all look amazing so I'm sharing them all with you.

{13 Nights of Halloween} Spooky Halloween Silhouettes
If you are a regular reader you will know I have an obsession with Pinterest. I absolutely love that site, the maker a genius! I spend/waste {I call it creative brainstorming}time on Pinterest whenever I have a little extra time on my hands, usually when I'm suppose to be trying to turn my brain off to sleep. While I like to spend my evening pinning, I find some great ideas and love to share them with all of you. I haven't go to try these yet, but I think we may do a few this weekend for the kids. I usually save all my new ideas for next year but this is one that I want to try right away. They would be for just our kids anyways because we live in the woods, in the country on a dead end street where no one will really see or care about our Halloween Decorations but we love them.
Here are a few on the pins I found that made me need to add this to my Halloween Decor.

{13 Nights of Halloween Fun} Brain Punch
This punch is sure to be the hit of your Halloween Party. Brain Punch is very simple to make and adds a little spookyness to your punch for the party. This is also great for kids parties or their class party at school. Just make with Kool-Aid as we did here. If you are having an Adult only party you can add your favorite punch and use the brain mold as the ice for the punch if you are looking for a classier look.
Here is what we used for this batch of Brain Punch:

{The Scott Life} A little bit of us with y'all!
Making : Weekend Plans, We're having to rearrange some because my husband has to work.
Cooking : I have no idea what making for dinner, probably Taco Pasta
Drinking : Nothing Currently
Reading: My To Do' List, trying to get everything done for the day and I'm just about caught up for the week.
Wanting: the weekend to come and stay awhile. I really miss my husband, and only getting to see him for a few hours in the evening is not cutting it.
Looking: At all the papers that need to be graded and recorded.
Playing: Nothing, there are no time for games unless its Family Game Night
Wasting: Speaking of wasting, I cannot believe my daughter, last night apparently she did not want her cheeseburger that was homemade, and very good. Instead of saying she didn't want it, or that she wanted something else, she threw her two bites gone cheeseburger in the trash. I told her I could not believe she just threw that away, go give the dog a treat, don't waste it. The dog loved it at least
Sewing: I have a new project I am hoping to start this week!
Wishing: Someone could do some of the tedious work for me, I need an assistant, that works for free- where's my best friend at? lol
Enjoying: The way things are right now. I'm staying focused on what I need to and just getting things done!
Waiting: for the time to come that my husband gets off of work and comes home. Last night it wasn't until 9 p.m.

Spooky Halloween Cupcakes - Edible Bones and Cupcake Toppers
That is what my tombstone would say, "Death by Chocolate." and these cupcakes are delicious and chocolatey. I needed to do a review for a awesome Cake Decorating Kit that comes monthly and helps teach you how to decorate cupcakes/cakes/pies, etc. These tips are very helpful, plus you will gain some new recipes to add to your recipe box. I wanted to make a Halloween cupcake since Halloween is upon us. So I knew what kind of cupcakes i was going to make, but I had no idea how I was going to decorate them until I this pin on Pinterest from Happiness is Homemade. Over at her site you will find two important things, How to make edible {chocolate} bones and these awesome cupcake toppers. Thank you Heidi at Happiness is Homemade, your post is just what I needed for my cupcake review.

As always Disney's ABC Family is featuring their 13 Nights of Halloween where they show some of our favorite Halloween shows and great. Here is the schedule for this years 13 Nights of Halloween!

Filled with Excitement & Headed to Disney? Don't forget to pack these.....Disney World Packing List
So your going to Disney World? & of course you're filled with excitement, and starting to pack. Well for me the story goes like this... and this is a true story. In 2013 when we headed to Disney World I made a little check list of things we needed to pack for the whole family{Just FYI don't do this, make an individual list}. I packed our suitcases, got our car loaded and we headed down to Disney. The kids always travel in comfy PJ clothes, because it is an 8 hour ride. As we get to Disney, check in, get in our room, and start getting ready for our afternoon we realize my son doesn't have any shorts/pants. NONE. & so becomes a story the family likes to tell every time I have to pack clothes, "make sure you have shorts/pants".
Well we just went to Disney and good news, everything was packed! :) However I couldn't have done it without The Ultimate Disney World Packing List from WDWPrepSchool.com This list is perfect for everything you need, now you may not need all of this stuff but you will need some of it and some of the things you probably didn't even think of. I of course added things that we're for our family specifically so I didn't forget it but its perfect to print out and check off.
Here are a few things that I really was happy I had!
What I'm learning about Homeschooling
Homeschooling... let me just say there is nothing easy about it, and just like with everything once you get comfortable and in a routine something changes or you add a new co-op class or field trip and your right back at square one. I am a pretty organized person. I put things where they go {most of the time} I like things to have order to them but sometimes it doesn't always work out like that.
Before our vacation, we were on a great schedule/routine, we were just reviewing though for the first two weeks. Since we have come home, it has been B-U-S-Y. We have made some changes to the co-op classes we are attending based on what my son likes best and we are working on a new schedule together. However, currently going day by day is not working for me. I like to be prepared, and even though I know what we are working on and what is being taught for the day, I still have to write it out, print the necessary worksheets, the lesson plan of what to teach, and then after I do all that and he does all the work I have to grade it and record it. Now I say have to but I don't have to, I choose to because I want to make sure he is understanding what we are working on and if he is not, maybe we need to work on it a little bit more, but I think it is important to keep up with grades and because he's been in public school he asks about his grades and what he got on things.
So what I am learning about Homeschool and what you should know is:

{Monthly Memories} Our Disney Vacation
I think I've been putting off writing this post, not because I didn't want to share with y'all how wonderful our vacation was but because I'm very sad it's over. My family and I absolutely love Disney and even though we have been 4 times we still have not done everything and are always experiencing new things that we never new were there! I can't wait to share some of those with y'all, but that will be in a later post. You will see several, well maybe several is not the right word. You will see a lot of posts about our Disney trip, not just about our trip but also tips, tricks, and just our reviews on things we do at Disney World. These posts will absolutely be helpful though to your magical Disney vacation you are planning.
Here are some of my favorite photos from our trip. These are going to be our Monthly Memories post for September! Enjoy!
